Lisinopril will increase your serum potassium.

The “water pill”, if anything like HCTZ will deplete your potassium. They tend to balance each other.

Tactic: Drop the water pill and eat vegetables. Keep up on the lisinopril.

See..I knew it was complicated. then add weirdo thalessemia..and I just throw my hands in the air and look at it once a year on a blood test to see if potassium looks all right.

I believe lisinopril is hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic.
