https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2020/mar/11/coronavirus-update-live-news-uk-health-minister-italy-lockdown-australia-us-china-stock-markets-outbreak-latest-updates List of UK updates.

Formula One team case. Wonder if this is in any way related to the motorcycle race in the US at the Formula One track in TX? Cars not motorcycles but whatever.

MP Nadine Dorries and one of her members of staff tested positive. The York MP Rachael Maskell has confirmed that she has been advised to self-isolate after having a meeting with Nadine Dorries There are no plans to test any UK ministers, including Boris Johnson

Spain has confirmed 2,002 cases and 47 deaths. Half the infected are in the Madrid region, where 31 people have died.

A businessman from Kent says he and his son have been waiting nine days for a coronavirus test after getting a cough following a trip to northern Italy. Phillip Meyer, 48, said he was told by the 111 service on 2 March that he and his 12-year-old son needed to be tested.

We are testing between 1,000 and 2,000 people a day in the UK, so clearly there is a bottleneck. If in South Korea they test 15,000 a day, why can’t we do that here?” (Psst, USA is failing miserably)

“When the virus is out there, the population has no immunity and no therapy exists, then 60% to 70% of the population will be infected,” the German chancellor told a news conference in Berlin on Wednesday morning.

E3, the world’s largest video game convention, has reportedly been cancelled almost three months ahead of the conference’s first day.

The coronavirus death toll in Iran has jumped to 354, out of a total of 9,000 cases.

That represents a mortality rate of nearly 4%. As the mortality rate for the virus is thought to be between 1% to 2%, there are likely to be more unknown cases in Iran.

“London has seen the most cases of coronavirus of any region in the UK, with Kensington and Chelsea the worst affected local authority in the capital... And the UK could be facing a similar trajectory as Italy, according to early estimates of the spread.”

See chart at link for numbers and locations.

It's not incompetence.

I know it's tempting to accuse them of that.

But a lot if it, is Omoeba-era regulations and holdover never Trumpers throughout the CDC and FDA.

But the medical spread aspects of coronavirus, aren't the only things on his plate.

China has supply-chain issues which affect a number of our industries. China has financial issues due to their economy freezing up, which affects everything from their internal politics (what if there is a "palace coup", remember they have nukes...), to the price of oil (OPEC tried to raise prices, and Saudi Arabia and Russia both said "screw that" which melted down our stock market), to the demand for US Treasuries (demand was so high that for a bit on Monday, 10-year T-bills were paying 0.41%) Our economy is being hit by supply chain, the total meltdown of the travel and hotel industries, and the loss of jobs in fracking; there are further effects from Mom-and-Pop businesses (say, all those around Universities which just canceled classes) shutting down; social distancing could take out restaurants. And that makes for a lot of people with mouths to feed and no income.

Then you have the political considerations of all this.

He's got to juggle all of these things at the same time, and *appear* to be doing it effortlessly, or the wolves start attacking. God knows what else they've thrown at him for 3 years while the economy was doing well, this is how the Dems operate, by hate and destruction.

He should've pulled the trigger on Q about 2 months ago, and started the military tribunals then. If he tries going after the Cabal, even in totally mild ways, they'll scream it's the lashing out of an unstable loser driven over the edge by his incompetence on Corona.

It’s so the university can’t be sued for negligence.

>>> As for saying “it’s just old people” I think that is being overreacted too as well. The limited info we have is pretty clear that younger people are at far less risk of death. That doesn’t mean we are HAPPY about it. It just means that perhaps elderly should be avoiding conventions or cruises and the younger can probably still go to work and school.

Problem is, they’ll go to all these places and events and get the virus and give it to their grandparents and aunts and uncles and the little old lady in the supermarket.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Numbers released from the University of Nebraska Medical Center estimate nearly 96 million Americans could become infected with COVID-19, resulting in roughly 480,000 deaths.

UNMC said those numbers can only hold true if no precautions are taken to stop the spread of the virus.

Nebraska State Senators were briefed on the UNMC’s “Best Guess Epidemiology” numbers for the coronavirus on Tuesday morning.

Lincoln Lancaster County Health Director Pat Lopez presented lawmakers with the numbers provided by UNMC, which estimates 96 million people could be infected with the virus in the United States resulting in 480,000 deaths in America. UNMC also estimates there could be 4.8 million hospital admissions in the U.S. with 1.9 million people being sent to the Intensive Care Unit.
