A physician's assistant who became New Jersey's first case of coronavirus has spoken out about the disease from his hospital bed and warns others to take the threat seriously.

James Cai, 32, fell ill last weekend while attending a medical conference at a hotel in Times Square.

He has been hospitalized since Tuesday at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. So far, 13 people have been tested for COVID-19 in New Jersey. The other 11 cases have come back negative.

'Every day is getting worse,' Cai said Monday during an interview with CBS, adding that 'it happened so quick'.

'A lot of people say it’s OK, don’t wear masks. I don’t believe that,' Cai said.

Cai, who works and lives in Manhattan and Fort Lee, New Jersey, said the virus is not one to be taken lightly.

In New York, where Gov Andrew Cuomo recently declared a state of emergency, cases of the coronavirus have shot to 142.

Today was the biggest daily stock market drop since 12/1/2008 where S&P dropped 8.9% during 2008 great recession. What happened next 1 day later S&P popped 4% and 1 week later S&P was up a whopping 11.5% and that was in a lot worse economy than today.
A big pop could be coming

probing issues only when someone cannot be adequately oxygenated on their back. While it can be effective it complicates care by making it more difficult to assess people, reach equipment et and requires deeper levels of sedation . It is only done when necessary

Wow..my parents lived the American Dream. Did well. Left assets to me. Put in a trust for multiple reasons to protect it.

That doesn’t make me a trust fund baby.

Stop insulting me with your repeated PERSONAL attacks.

You are factually a trust fund baby, you just told us that your parents set up a trust fund for you out of their earned wealth. Yesterday you said you have no control over that. Again, a trustfundbaby.

Why no control? Either because it is so large they did not want it to be in your estate or they felt you would be vulnerable to predators who would scam you, and I suspect the latter, as you seem really gullible.

You cut-n-paste from twitter like that means you know something. Your fearmongering is contemptible and your trying to claim "victim" status for me factually repeating what you, yourself have admitted is both funny and sad.

"my parents ... Did well. Left assets to me. Put in a trust for multiple reasons to protect it."

Stop attacking me.

You are PERSONALLY attacking me using a perjorative term. I am disgusted by it.

I drive a 14 year old car. I am extreme frugal. I MAKE MY OWN MONEY even though I could sit around and do no nothing for the rest of my life

So stop your nonsense.

To my stalker..look where the market is...after the European close.SPX briefly went negative but has since bounced a tad. I have no idea where this ends up today but the market is not “recovered”. Maybe it will ..maybe it was a dead cat bounce

Market is acting sickly right now. Didn’t hold the overnight retracement. Europe closes in a few minutes so we will see what happens.

I have no guess as to this afternoon. Could go either way.

I dont remember who it was posting about the market yesterday here..maybe Steve...but we got the big Fib retracement overnight he was talking about...and so far it cant hold it. It’s not negative yet...but it could happen before end of day

I am still not in because this Virus story is not contained and we could WHOOSH at any time. Will see what happens after Europe closes

Oil stocks I am looking at are not holding gains either

You really are just as clueless as every other trust fund baby I have ever dealt with. Go scare somebody who is as gullible as you are.
