Continuation of the thread.
Try building your own allstar node...connect all over the world...
Yep.
Much safer that way :)
LOL! Started to say "American inventiveness!"... well, a good idea anyway.
SK was doing this 2 weeks ago.
Good idea, for these HC workers/first resonders.
They are the first line of defense, out there.
“Santa Clara County in California bans mass gatherings with more than 1,000 people”
To get rid of Pres. Trump rallies. Bite me biden is safe.
I doubt very much the Gov will keep these bans up in sunny CAL all SUMMER long, rock concerts, beaches etc. are big out there for tourists and otherwise. He’ll only take the revenue hit for so long.
Thanks Boss
I will consider your words
OK, all done
Have a nice life
Odd....I went to the website that VP mentioned, this eve, in his presser....
coronavirus.gov
There, I found a a link to recommended surface disinfecting products.
I clicked on that link, and saw this...
Note: The CBC cannot make a determination of the effectiveness of a product in fighting pathogens like COVID-19. For questions related to the effectiveness of any product not listed below, please contact the manufacturer directly.

I like to avoid the large cap stocks. Look for small and regional companies that have a business I understand. I’m best with Banks, Cars, and Women’s Wear.
I did buy a small position in Tat Technologies in 2003-they produced heat transfer systems used in airplanes etc. Bought it @ $4.50 and sold half in Feb 2007 @ $27.07.
I don’t do much of the investing anymore—everything has been too pricey. Got to be lots of blood before I’ll start looking again. As I’m older now, I have to keep a smaller portfolio-never invest more than I can afford to lose.
I just use and old Icom 751...
Radio's were a Kenwood 940SAT, Kenwood TS-2000, Kenwood 480HX, Motorola 6500, Motorola 8300 (DMR Repeater) and the amps were Ameritron AL-82's and an Alpha 9500.
Still have the radio gear and amps, the house and tower are gone. :-) I did manage to get a 6-20 legal limit fan dipole strung up in my attic and working well. Still working on getting a decent 40m folded dipole laid out in the attic.
Has anyone anywhere estimated what total US mask production can be in a week? Two weeks? A month?
Hand sanitizer is also a “no findee” locally at present. But I just ordered extra Palmolive liquid dishwashing soap (the std. strength green stuff) online, from Wally World - works great as hand soap without drying hands too much. I hope it shows up, as it went out of stock a few hours after I placed the order... (90 oz. for $4.42, free shipping if part of a $35 order.)
I also picked up (locally) some bacteria and virus killing wipes. Those things really dry out my hands...
Someone on FR was basically minimizing the problem & offering extra masks they had. Well, dang it, I have some sort of respiratory bug that’s in my lungs now - probably neither COVID-19 or flu, but I have my 89 y/o Mom to take care of part of the time, and although the closest COVID-19 infection reported is 100 miles away, no one around here I can find has had masks in stock for a month. So, if that person still has extras and wants to PM me...
For hand sanitizer you can use aloe and rubbing alcohol. It can also be found in some unexpected places - party supply stores, for example. If someone here had spare masks and wasn’t just flubro trolling, maybe they’ll send them to you, but I’d guess you’re pretty much out of luck there for now.
BTW, while I’m “here”, Wal Mart still has 200 pill bottles of 400 mg Guaifenesin available online, two different sources, very reasonable price = $11.28. Hard to find in a search - look for “Kirkland mucus relief”. I ordered that today too, free shipping for orders over $35.
Our ace hardware had some rubbing alcohol in stock.
You might try there too.
We’ve used walmart.com, kroger.com and vitacost.com to avoid going to stores.
Also acehardware.com, lowes.com, etc.
I have plenty of rubbing alcohol, even some 91% I can dilute in aloe gel, but can’t turn up the aloe gel except at prices way over hand sanitizer (if the latter was in stock.)
I’ll buy the masks at a reasonable price, but, yeah, not sure if the poster was serious.
