Continuation of the thread.
Yours is a perspective I'd not considered. Thanks for that.
Dedicated hospitals is what they did in Wuhan. They were finding cross-contamination of existing floor patients. (and they housed the medical staff either on the upper floors or at a nearby hotel with drivers dedicated solely to transporting the medics from hotel to hospital)
Yes, and are currently cheering on the loss of Trumps greatest voting demographic. One more reason to cancel rallies, IMO
I asked hubby why his corporate office didnt encourage employees wear masks, he told me its because the CDC said it is too dangerous because people dont know how to use them properly increasing chance of infection. Its ridiculous, but we live in a very litigious society.
Well...from reading about the habits of some Chinese...I'd say their public sanitation practices are still in the dark ages.
DMR is only as good as the internet connectivity connecting the DMR Repeaters, whether one's talking to someone in another state or another country. Network latency, ping response connection stability are critical.
From a DMR Repeater owner perspective (as I was up to last year) it isn't cheap to acquire a DMR Repeater, install a decent high-performance high-coverage antenna and run it 24x7x365 as I used to.

Forget the fact you cannot even find them anymore since the bulk are made in (wait for it ... ) CHINA and they ain't shipping 'em here like they used to.
Those that are making it here FedGov is buying up as fast as they can.
Want to protect yourself from the Wuhan/China virus: wash your hands and don't touch your face, nose, ears or mouth with unclean hands.
Welcome to the party, Pal!
It does sound like stuff out of a sci-fi movie. It’s hard to believe this can really happen, which is why some people are having such a hard time processing it, I think.
If the strains truly have different lethality that would explain some things. But I haven’t drilled down into that stuff, yet.
He has some leftover he bought for the workplace from the H1N1 days, if it were his call, theyd be wearing them now.

China is still at a near standstill.
I wonder what the REAL numbers are, for their up and running factories. At what capacity.
And I’m just barely 20 miles east of Tacoma. We shall see what happens. Lots of nuttiness around here. Luckily my main grocery store showed no signs of panic buying this morning. Keeping my eye on the news, that’s for sure!
And, I hope you have just a cold, and not the virus. Stay well.
Odd....CDC Dr Nan (Rod Rosenstein’s sis) doesn’t say how much food/time to stock up for.
Isn’t this what she was saying in the media presser that the CDC held, a several weeks ago? Then, it was like her warnings were shut down.....no more talk of stocking up/staying inside, until now.
Xi’s visit to Hunan today shows, to me, that workers are afraid.
They aren’t coming back to work because they’re afraid of the virus (or the government controls).
It’s a feudal society. So the ‘King” rides out to show it’s safe...
