Sure. The 2 people in Chicago died of lead poisoning this week. As they do every week. But the two virus cases are on top of the norm.

I am not sure why that is so difficult to comprehend. If two fewer people died to offset the total deaths...that would make YOUR point.

So far this does not seem any worse than H1N1 and the media was not breathlessly reporting every case of that one. One of the deaths was in my county, Lee. People down here come from all over the country and the world this time of year. Who knows how many carriers are out there.

How many empty ICU beds are there in FLA every day.

You guys need to focus on the “choke points” in our system. Not some ridiculous “stars in the sky” view of things. It’s not going to take many to push the system into a bad place.

Ask the folks in Kirkland how many empty beds in their ICU.

The elderly are the overwhelming contributor to the Vorana death stats. The major contributor to total deaths from all causes are old folks. Duh!

How many are filled? How many vents are available?

The flu crowd forgets we are still max’d out from flu. Any additional patients will fill those beds, about half of whom are on vents. And they are in there for 10-14 days, compared to flu patients.

I am sure there are bed managers in the hot spots doing mental gymnastics trying to get enough beds.

No news as to how these people weren’t even reported to having it only that they died. So much for transparency from governor Desantis. Former gov. Rick Scott would be dealing with this far better.
