A U.S. citizen infected with the Chinese coronavirus is speaking out about his experience with the disease. Carl Goldman is one of the at least 40 U.S. citizens from the Japanese cruise ship Diamond Princess that tested positive for the Wuhan virus. Officials at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) transferred Goldman and his wife, who is not infected, to biocontainment center at the University of Nebraska hospital. At least 40 of the over 60 Americans who have the disease came from the Japanese cruiser.

Flu always dehydrates you. Some strains worse than others.
Flu is upper resperatory, corona is lower.
You need to hydrate to thin the mucus, or it will build up and cause pulse-ox problems.

He’s lying, obviously! We’ve been told this is a modern day version of the black plague! Especially when it made the stock market take a dive! Billions will die and it’s all Trumps fault!
I read yesterday that if you drink lots of fluids throughout the day it increases the chance of washing the virus (if you ingested it)down into the stomach where stomach acid will kill it; rather than it getting into the lungs. Don't know if this is correct but it was a "health care professional" who was saying it.

I saw an interview of this guy on Fox News. He said he had a fever of over 103 degrees at some point. No mention of that in this article, but it is mentioned in the WP story this article is based on.
CNN not reporting Trump hardly at all.

They have to tread lightly if they are going to blame Trump, because this virus actually vindicates Trump’s positions on a lot of things.
I predict it will miraculously disappear after November.

They’re trying to find a more convincing argument that opening our borders will protect us from this and other outbreaks.

That’s probably bogus. But being hydrated helps you fight bugs. Also viruses is among the stuff your body flushes out in pee. Be hydrated, pee more, flush away bad stuff.
It is interesting that he “got” it, and she did not. I guess they might have been separated during the entire trip, but it seems likely they were not, which also indicates either that she had some natural immunity, or that the virus doesn’t spread TOO easily.
