My kind of flick. I like historical events put to film.

I like Hanks as an actor. But he lost me when he opened his libtard pie hole. I vote with my pocketbook....don’t like to give money to my enemies.

Too bad I despise Tom Hanks for his politics. Just shut up and act.

I watched the trailer last night and it was incredible. Yeah, I know Hanks is a Hollywood lefty, but he's always done justice to the military and American history, and has stood up for things like NASA's missions and our national heritage. Deep down, the man does have a sense of national pride. He's a damn good actor IMHO.

Tom Hanks is really annoying. As far as I know, he’s not a Communist.

I’ll likely see this movie.

IMHO, “Saving Private Ryan” was by far the best Picture that year. I believe the Oscar went to “Shakespeare in Love”.
That is why nobody watches the Academy Awards anymore.

Historical buffs who haven’t yet seen Midway are in for a treat.

Unfortunately it is also giving money to libatards.

Why is Hanks’ character wearing “scrambled eggs” on his hat as a Lt Cdr (O-4)? You don’t get them on your visor until you make O-5 (Commander in the Navy, Lt Col in the other branches). Minor mistake that all current/former sailors—and most vets/military retirees—will notice right away.

Wonder if the studio will edit the uniform blunder out of the film before its release?

There are three ways a liberal can end up, (four if you count the Clinton way):

1. They are elected and screw things up so bad they have to give it back to get it fixed. (Like with Trump)

2. They get voted out and we never hear the end of it,

3. Not enough people support them financially and they don’t have the money to act like idiots. Even billionaires can tap out after their leeches tax the he(( out of them.

I do two and three. And I’ve almost stopped going to the movies. Not much worth seeing anyway, and like in this case, no one I want to see.

Sometimes I find Hank’s dramatic roles a bit “hammy”, but the man is committed to keeping the memory of WW2 in the public eye, so cant hate on this film.

1st saw the movie preview yesterday and thought that Hanks should have read the book I recently finished. The Good Shepherd, C.M. Forester.

Well, that's a nice surprise.

To everyone: the book is excellent !

In the UK Daily Maiul article they state that he has to “cross the Atlantic with no help from the air troops”. They probably mean that there were gaps in air coverage for the convoy due to range limitations of aircraft or bad weather conditions. During the war the coverage gaps decreased as aircraft with longer ranges became available for use. Eventually, air coverage could be continuously provided for the whole transit.

Hanks role in Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” did it for me. If he’a Christian, to play that the role he did he must be apostate, worse antichrist in his belief system.

Tom Hanks is starting to resemble Karl Malden.

Won’t contribute my money to the likes of him. Pay him and line his pockets, while he figuratively spits on me? Nope.

Krause leads 'an international convoy of 37 Allied ships ... in his first command of a U.S. destroyer,

I would've thought someone's first command would be ranked a lot lower than a naval captain.
