You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
BOOKS CAN ONLY REVEAL US TO OURSELVES, AND AS OFTEN AS THEY DO US THIS SERVICE WE LAY THEM ASIDE. HENRY DAVID THOREAU.
*grins* I’m not up early, I am up late... My wife of 37 years is off with the grand kids, and I have tomorrow off (sort of).

EZ today. First word just came to me.
Very easy, even for Judge Hardy’s boy.
About 2 min. Got ZKFZ and the rest of words were point and click. Very appropriate quote for the author.
About 2 min. First word breaks it.
Not so sure if ‘we’ should be taking that kind of advice when it comes from the CAT of relationships...
Then again, who but he know better?
Contractions and common letter made it easy.
Oh, that was a quick and easy one.
2 min. So get me to the Church on time!
3 minutes or so. Contractions.
“BOOKS’ gave me fits trying to fit a word in there that worked.
Worked the contractions.
True on both counts!
I retired in January after 37 plus years and went back to work part time this week just to keep busy. So this week I have been getting to these in the evening instead of mornings so I feel like I am cheating because I see some comments before working the puzzle.
On a side note and a bit of bragging or pridefulness (is that a word?) or something, my second grandson was born this morning!! Hopefully a future FREEPER
:)
Congratulations!!!! bless him!
We have some unwritten rules here with regard to the clues, as they’re getting more and more funny each day.
Rule 1 is not to have any of the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Rule 2 try to make the clue as tangential as possible. EG the CG has the word apple in it, and you show a picture of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in their pin stripes, (ie New York=Big Apple).
Rule 3 Make them funny
Today’s CG going up in a few minutes.
