The Tavares Police Department is asking people to bring their methamphetamine to the department to have it tested for the coronavirus.
“With the rising health concerns associated with the Corona virus we are offering free testing of your drugs. Being that a large amount of narcotics come from outside the US, we want you safe. Bring it by our station and we will test your batch within minutes,” a post on the department’s Facebook page.
It's the department's attempt to get meth off the streets in Central Florida, but with a funny twist.
The post was a hit on the department’s page, garnering hundreds of comments, shares and reactions.
No word on if anyone has showed up for a test.

Nope - but with all the folks going insane about the coronavirus, I thought that stating the obvious might have its use.
