That characterization couldn’t be farther off the mark for the third case in Oregon. Location is full of cowboys and Indians, not hippies.
Well I don’t know the areas. I do know that there are the types I describe in the PNW in general. I’m a member of a forum on permaculture(organic gardening, commune style) and there are many convos about how we bath too much and a lot of members from the PNW. We have a few here too and we also get a nomadic group called the rainbow people that camps here and there around these parts. They travel the whole nation though. They dumpster dive or barter for food.
