I have been showing symptoms of flu or #covid19 — I called the doctor & the hotline. Hotline just disconnected me. Dr said no primary care facility is positioned to do #coronaviruswashington testing. So the advice we are getting from health officials and then relaying is WRONG.
So it isn’t aerosol?
If you want to get really grossed out, check out the air conditioning filters in your average commercial building.
They are rarely cleaned or replaced in a timely manner.
“Underlying conditions” is probably just a term to use so the general public doesn’t panic. Thing is, everyone has underlying conditions whether they know it or not. Old age and young age is a condition. Any ailment from Alzheimer to arthritis to chewed to the quick nails are conditions.
Man....the WHO is pulling out all stops to NOT call this a pandemic, so the WB bonds NOT have to be paid.
Fed lowers rate, and even that isn’t having a good effect, at this time, yet WHO still has it’s nose up in the air.

you’ll be able to breathe 50 minutes of taxi air, but after you get out of that taxi the virus is still embedded in the mask, and kept moist by your respiration. With a wellfitted mask, there is a drag on inhale. You will breath a bit heavier, which can suck that mask virus, which is only trapped in the middle layer, into your breath. (the outer layer being waterproofing, the inner layer being absorbent, with the middle layer as the trap layer). Maybe it would be a good idea to carry several masks and ziplocks so you can take off the mask you wore on the bus or subway or other crowded environ, stick it on the dash of the car or windowsill to bake in the sun, and put on a clean mask? Plenty of videos of poor Chinese villagers who had only been given one mask, and had been wearing it for a week or more, rather than be beaten. Concentrating virus every day.

that is an impressively vapid article. almost reads like propaganda ‘billionaires suffering just like you and have more problems too sort-of’
bezos sold 4B$ of stock last month (more than and not timed like his other 105-b1 or whatevers) and allegedly is now in NZ. I would assume he is ready for a long haul wait and has much better info than any of us.
a generic billionaire should be prepping their most remote inaccessible large real estate residence now, medically vetting staff that will be there, and getting ready to go or have already gone, I would think. That is what I think is reality.

I wonder if the 108 Singapore infections were imported, with no real community spread. A little early but the infections could because Singapore location closest to the virus.
If the Weather Matters that will be great news.
The other related question will it come back in fall/winter?

Always with the "underlying illness". Did he have this unknown respiratory illness before catching the virus or after? Sick and tired of the required memes in every report. "Underlying illness", "cleaning out of abidance of caution" and "wash your hands" and the latest "weak positive test".
given how frequently it is used (always?) that indeed is a reasonable conclusion.

Agreed that the billionaires _should_ be doing all of that stuff, but probably a fair share of them are still in the denial stage.
the underlying respiratory illness may well be pneumonia caused by the virus itself. why not?
Hubby and I have discussed putting one of the UV light thingies in ours.

agree also. but some are. bezos just got coverage on his planes appearing in NZ, and the stock sales raised my eyebrows at the time given that I was already very aware of this virus being very likely big trouble.
in other words, bezos was smart.
I think Bezos kicked out everybody but alexa and the hoe.
see upthread for my post re: an interview with the Brit national - he was hospitalized in late Nov after over a week of feeling crappy. He didn’t interview until last week. So shutting down Jan 1 probably wouldn’t improved things much. China knew what they had, but we sure didn’t. All we knew was Nov we had 1.8/100K hospital admissions for flu/pneumonia, Dec we had 1.9/100K, and Jan we ballooned to 48/100K - from a mild flu season to a harsh increase.
