True, but at least a few of them were to counteract the one attempting to create hysteria.
Maybe posting a vanity in the NEWS forum will make you feel better?
Just wait when this forum is full of threads asking for surgical masks in two weeks.
Yup. This is the latest obsession. Overshadowing the LGBT transgendered obsession over the last several years.
11 coronavirus related threads?
That's eight more threads than the number of home grown, CDC confirmed, COVID-19 cases.
We have people trying to stir up unwanted panic. There are more people who have caught the disease and recovered than there are people who currently have the disease or who have died from it, and thats with the red Chinese barricading people into buildings without fresh water, food, or proper sewer facilities.
Y2K, Global Warming, Climate Change, H1N1, Coronavirus....
Just another in along string of fake catastrophes.
“Nevermind that s__t, Here comes Mongo!”
Yesterday i was at the Doctor for diabetics. She was teaching me to inject insulin once a day and how to draw blood from a finger 4 times a day to monitor the sugar level,
Doctor said to wash my hands before drawing blood. So I said OK that is good against Coronavirus. She told me not to use any soap because lots of them have sugar. I said you never know what crap they put in things these days.
LOL!
Yeah, “the thread” is best.
An Infodemic of epic disproportion...
Not obsessed. When a major power closes down a province with the population of Britain, and then expands the closure to roughly half of the nation’s workforce, to the point that the global supply chain is interrupted, and parts shortages begin to materialize, you stand up and pay attention. This is not the typical reaction to a bug. Maybe they know something we don’t.
At this point, it appears that the reaction is overdone. However, the jury is still out. We await further developments. China’s neighbors are taking serious measures, fearing the worst. If it turns to be a big fat nothing, they lose a few points of economic growth this year. But on the off-chance that this eventually turns out to be long-feared Spanish flu-like pandemic, with the prospect of millions dead per country, without adequate precautions, better safe than sorry.
That’s a slow night around here lately :)
You should see the End of Days Coronavirus threads :)
People actually CHEERING it on!!
I did you not.
I wonder if they were this anxious for End Times when they were young and full of life.
No. They’re just selfish :)
Maybe we’re a little obsessed?
__________
More like a lot obsessed. Noone here has even died from it (thank goodness.)
We have people( the “investment” class ) wanting to drive down the market so they can get in. They missed out, missed the Trump phenomena and want to crash the market. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
There is a lot of information going around about coronavirus....some true, some not true.
We have some FReepers concerned while others are dismissive.
It is a subject that we do not all agree upon, hence, it gets more attention.
It is a good example of what happens in the middle of a developing story. If this was more severe, this would be worse.
We need to LEARN from this so we can be prepared should a real bio attack take place.
yes, and do you know how many fatalities there are in children under 10 worldwide?
0,Zero, Nada, None! its not that contagious as compared to measles and a relatively mild virus compared to Sars if someone’s immune system is ok
it’s fear mongering going on and alamist-
Concern trolls gotta do what they do.
It’s an election year...and 9 out of 10 are also anti-Trump.
Thank God someone said it.
Thank you, keat.
