Friday, February 28, 2020, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt presented, what seemed to me, unbiased coverage of Trump's handling of the coronavirus situation. In fact, Trump seemed downright presidential in their coverage.
We know this act of journalism doesn't mean that NBC is becoming less biased or more ethical. So what does it mean? Do they think politicizing this disease will ultimately work to Trump's favor?
Of course I'm just guessing, because I cannot believe you saw what really transpired on NBC. 8>)

He held a traditional news conference on the virus yesterday. Not one by helicopter. And he didn’t call names. He called Nancy Pelosi by her name rather than “Nervous Nancy”. The press openly praised him on The change of venue. Like this is as close as they can get to a “Thank you President Trump”
I was expecting them to parrot Democrats claiming Trump believes the coronaviris is a hoax.
They didn't. No mention of Democrats' accusations.
My guess is the mainstream media is trying to turn down the rhetoric before they cause people to panic.
They may want to push the Democrats' talking points but in doing so they risk alarming the public.
If people do start to panic it's going to be in 'large urban centers'. Imagine runs on grocery stores and riots.
I won't be surprised if Democrats pass around a memo to tone it down.
However, they did a piece on the Democratic candidates. Biden was blatantly blaming Trump by name. Buttigieg was more aloof and talked about what 'the next president' should do.
It is hard to believe since nbc is the most anti trump broadcast network.
Yeh.. my critical abilities are starting to become critical of my critical abilities...
The MSM is surprised by this. I am not.

That is the way everything else they’ve tried has worked out. Maybe they’re tired of that reaction.
