I bought a Berkey—the question for me was how many sets of filters do I pick up.
Having owned a berkey for some 20 years...a set of filters will last more than a few years. But if you have one set of filters (two) you should be set for this year and next and the year after. I think the forumula is 3K gallons per filter. Two filters good for 6K gallons. Figure making three gallons a day for example and you will be good for a long time...

There’s a 3rd case at Bellevue that was described as having severe symptoms being tested. They didn’t talk about him/her at either press conference yesterday
yikes..now a Saturday presser from the CDC too

That’s what I figured.
I have six kids, and an estranged wife about five blocks away who has the communal Berkey, as well as a couple of sets of back up filters in the basement.
We also live in a small town (about 1200, though I expect that if things turn bad there is going to be a huge initial die off as it is mostly elderly) so it may not be just me.
Firewood is a bigger concern.

The Washington Department of Health confirmed Saturday the first coronavirus-related death in Washington state, according to a press release.
Health officials said there are new King County cases in addition to the two new cases confirmed Friday evening
NEW: France reports 27 new cases of coronavirus, or 43 new cases so far today, raising total to 100
UCDavis Nurses Union says 124 nurses and providers have been sidelined. “nurses view the handling of this COVID-19 case as a failure”
Public Health officials in Santa Clara County say an older woman, prior health issues, hospitalized after trouble breathing, “rapid local testing” confirmed in one day. In serious condition. no travel?
