Is simply asking WHY governments are so serious about stopping the corona virus the problem?
Is it that I was insulting?
Is it that it's not allowed to be stand alone vanities?
Is it that it should be categorized differently?
How about some love and some help understanding this?
Can you AT least TELL me how long the soft ban will last? Geesh....20 plus years as a loyal freeper never causing trouble and I get soft banned for a respectable, well researched vanity post? How about the respect of at least an answer?

If this ends up happening our country will be in full panic mode. Wonder what dow futures are at? Going to be tremendous buying opportunity for those of us with extra money to put in markets when the dust settles.

I REALLY hope there is something wrong with those numbers.
I found the official source:
1st:
1,694 people who contracted the virus in 14 regions and in an autonomous province, of which 1,577 positive, 34 died and 83 recovered.
Among the 1577 positives:
798 are found in home isolation
639 hospitalized with symptoms
140 in intensive care
There are 45ish seats on a bus, so more like 150.
Here is another... this is Dr. Fauci who is a member of Trump’s task force:
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health told CNBC on Monday that a quarter of China’s coronavirus cases require intensive treatment.
“About 25% of them have very serious disease, requiring relatively intensive or really intensive care,” said the director of the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

I provided with several links that backup what you said, including Dr. Fauci. These are numbers we have seen for the past 4-5 weeks. Sadly, I think many have not been paying attention so these numbers seem over the top, but they aren’t.
There is a reason China bulldozed the streets in and out of Wuhan, and quarantined more people than the entire US population.
I haven’t believed what China says for decades now.
There were photos released from China (cell phone) of restrooms without soap to wash hands.
There are photos “leaked’ of Chinese hospital with bodies, in body bags, one of which is resting on soiled linen, placed over the waiting room chairs in a hospital. Either they willingly placed contaminated dead bodies in their own hospital waiting room chairs and are not capable of treating/contamating infectious illnesses - or they were fanning fears to justify locking down entire cities, dragging people away (purging of undesirables?).
We don’t know the rate in the US. Until we do, I really don’t ‘see telling people it’s 20%, even by the quotes I used re Corona, “For 80% of those who get this virus their symptoms will be mild and won’t require hospitalization.” That sentence says 80% mild and I’m not going to assume the other 20% will be severe with no “moderate” and of those which are severe, needing medical intervention, that all will be hospitalized.
You don’t believe Dr. Fauci either? The same things are happening in Italy and S. Korea as we speak.
