Of the seven, whats the over/under on the total number of apostrophes in their names? My guess is five.
Talk about escalation of violent crime....

What a crummy article. Where did this happen? What was the fight about? Etc.
It’s the one with 52,000 population.
Reporters these days dont understand the basics of 9th grade journalism.
OH MY!
Most of the Wheaton area is a pretty nice neck of the woods.
Home to Wheaton College of Billy Graham fame.
We are going to hear the CSO tomorrow night at Wheaton College’s Edman Memorial Chapel.
My main concern is finding a parking space within a mile or so.
Living in the area, I would never think of any other Wheaton.
That would not be right.
This particular Wheaton is the county seat in DuPage County, Ilinois.
Sorry about the confusion.
Sounds like it has really changed. DuPage County was considered a good area back then.
Once upon a time a bastion of conservativism.
The enemy are now among us.
Allow no beans from south of the Mason Dixon.
But, they produce so many nice things way down south!
I agree, I hate stories that say “ so and so” school district or “some county” courthouse and never mention in what state or city.
“...were joined by police officers from the Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Carol Stream police departments as well as DuPage County Sheriffs deputies...”
For a girls brawl? Hope they don’t have any real problems. Those are fairly decent western Chicago suburbs.
“...Once upon a time a bastion of conservativism...”
It was...not anymore. Went rat last few elections.
You know there already devices in existence to deal with animals like these, their called tranquilizer guns. No need for edjumacaters or police to risk injury.
Unfortunately, the ASPCA still objects to the use of tranq guns on ghettopotami.
For the same reason as Kipling described in "Belts":
There was a row in Silver Street that's near to Dublin Quay,
Between an Irish regiment an' English cavalree;
snip
There was a row in Silver Street -- it isn't over yet,
For half of us are under guard wid punishments to get;
'Tis all a merricle to me as in the Clink I lie:
There was a row in Silver Street -- begod, I wonder why!
I lived a year in Kansas but only stayed a week in Illinois.
I agree, I hate stories that say so and so school district or some county courthouse and never mention in what state or city.

I thought for sure the lunacy referred to happened in the hellhole that is Wheaton, in the hellhole that is Montgomery County, in the hellhole that is the People’s Republic of Maryland, all of which are currently sanctuaries for illegal immigrant criminals from south of the border!
For the same reason as Kipling described in “Belts”:

Ah, the great Rudyard Kipling, author of that magnificent poem, “The Stranger”!
‘Tis all a merricle to me as in the Clink I lie:
There was a row in Silver Street — begod, I wonder why!
