A resident of Solano County, California, who has novel coronavirus might be the first example in the country of "community spread," a situation in which the patient did not have "relevant travel history or exposure to another known patient," the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday.
The person's "exposure is unknown," the CDC said in a news release.
"It's possible this could be an instance of community spread of Covid-19, which would be the first time this has happened in the United States," the agency said, using the name the World Health Organization gave this coronavirus.
Community spread means the virus begins moving through a community and the "source of the infection is unknown," the agency said.
"It's also possible, however, that the patient may have been exposed to a returned traveler who was infected," the CDC added.
The agency revealed the case was detected through California's public health system and that the patient is undergoing treatment in Sacramento.

The next question that should be asked given this person’s proximity to Travis AFB is does this person work at or with someone who does work on that base. Is he related to or a spouse that does? Because if that’s the case then the TSHTF that would mean they lost containment with the reparations which would be a political killer,so if that really is the source we the people will never know the political fallout of bringing positive cases here and then infecting your citizens would sink any administration.

You are not far off from the truth. The LDS will survive an ELE just fine one of the tenets of faith is to have at least a year of supplies for the end days. The LDS only gave up polygamy in the last hundred years under pressure to enter the union the FLDS still observe the original scriptures and after the US govt is no more you can bank on the LDS returning to the way. I think this new patient was most likely suffering from complications of the Flu and then contracted COVID-19 at the UC Davis Hospital.

The CDC wanted expand testing more 2 weeks ago including those in hospitals with flu like symptoms that tested negative for the flu but that has been delayed do to a shortage of working test kits

The test kits one of the reagents was causing false reading, not sure if positive or negative. If it was false positives so be it better to have a false positive and inconvenience a few individuals by putting them under house arrest than false negative and have a spreader out sick or nurses n doctors using spash shields and not full bio masks

The CDC planned to send replacement materials to make the kits work.
