Men don't get hit on non-stop by women, the way women do starting at say age 12 or so. Women have very finely honed filters; except they become ineffective once she has tingles for the guy; at that point her rationalization hamster takes over and she makes excuses for everything.
Until she writes him off and blames all the other men for his lack of interest or commitment.

That’s where DH and I met — at church in Hawaii 25 years ago.
It is almost as if Liz is a hooker without the perks.
Have to say the horror stories I've heard women tell about what ends up in their inbox or chat window anytime they go on one of the "dating" sites or the likes of Tinder (which is pure meat market stuff) just makes me shake my head.
Some guys seemingly never advanced beyond 12-15 years old sending women they don't even know pics of their junk and crude pick-up lines.
That just makes it more difficult for the rest of us who do our best to live with integrity and respect for others while trying to date.
Oh.

God.
This is so damn funny. If you only knew...... Yes, exactly those ages too. 29 and 31. This should be required watching/listening for girls from high school on. It is SO true.
The old way was to buy the chick dinner and many drinks and later she felt would put out.... : )

I think she is not disadvantaged. I went to the internet when I was in my late 50s and early 60’s. I met wonderful and fantastic men. No man less than 50 was ever even considered even after a wonderful dinner and time spent getting to know each other such as that short period allowed.
It may be that mature men with a vast worldly experience are exciting to older women I certainly found that to be the case.
I thought it was very insightful, well thought out and to the point. I also think it cuts both ways (men and women) but for men around 40.
Just my opinion.
At 20, women have all the options. They are looking for a man no more than a few years older, who has a high earning job, is tall and reasonably attractive. There are lots of available men. Women can afford to treat men badly if the man doesn’t meet her lofty expectations.
At 30, the men in the age range 30 to 35 are either taken, or not interested in marriage, or dating girls in their 20s. She either makes herself available for no-strings sex, or he moves on to the next woman.
Since your profile shows you to have been a FReeper for 22 years, it’s probably safe to assume you’re not a teenager.
Who wants a marriage with someone who decided to "settle" for you, is resentful of having to settle, and pines for the desirable men who bedded her in her 20s (as long as they were under no obligation to marry).
So you were using the younger men for meals. How noble.
American women are crazy. If you want to get married, do it through your church. Or go overseas.
