Speaking of farming, true story: During WWII, there was a POW camp on the outskirts of town (northern Colorado). They were put to work on the farms, because all the farm boys were off fighting the war.
The families took really good care of them, fed them well.
Many of them liked it so much that after the war, they brought their families over and established their own farms. So there are a lot of German and Japanese names in agriculture around here.
Just a cool story.
