Figured we would start numbering the threads.
Some points to keep in mind:
1. This thing is not just the flu. 2. 1/10th of the worlds population is in some sort of lockdown. 3. Generally, we dont buy the Chinese numbers But if anything they are low. 4. Everyone is welcome to post, but dont bore us with your you are panicking posts. They are tedious.
Its Sunday night and the Walking Dead is back. Lets talk Coronavirus.
More and more countries will shut it down.
The US idiots might be driven by the profits. I can assure you there are a lot of national airlines that can take the hit.
Plus, the more flights that are cancelled, the more Boeing stock will fall. No need to replace craft that are sitting on a tarmac somewhere.
Please continue your life and ignore these threads- but when you wake up and the store shelves are empty, dont come around crying about it.
We dont care if you prep for this, but we care even less if you dont.
Stop all flights.
It is here.
Shelves emptying in Italy. Prep now, dont be the Hey, theres an epidemic in my neighborhood, lets go where 100s of people are congregating right now.

The average stay in an ICU bed with this virus (we need to stop calling it a flu) appears to be between 14-20 days.
No one reading this thread has that many ICU beds near them in ANY normalFebruary/March.
The heads in the sand folks like to think themselves sensible and wise. They are thinking of their city/town, they literally do not care about what happens to people in the world. The scream USA, talk about how we are superior.
The virus doesnt think these people are superior. The virus dont care.
Here’s what I want to know: Where are the videos of people WITH the disease reporting it? Where are the videos of people that say “I survived Corona virus”?
One of your questions has been asked, on these CV threads, for weeks, by several...
Where are the vids/stories of people who’ve SURVIVED this horrid virus, after the fact? We can’t seem to find any of those folks reporting back...that I know of.
Here’s.....one
Where/how do you suggest we get working test kits from?
All the videos we’ve seen are of ‘asymptomatic’ people. With ‘mild’ cases. Did they recover with no further symptoms? Did they become seriously ill later on?
No journalists seem to know or even be the least bit curious about these people’s long term prognosis.
Funny, now that the question is being inked, watched for the videos of they guy sitting in a Starbucks saying everything OK.
Coming to a twitter feed near you tonight.
“At the 10 minute mark, she says the US may have to shut down schools”
I knew there had to be some upside to this pandemic, perhaps this is it.
My friend’s brother and sister-in-law both caught it on the Princess ship in Japan. Her brother is doing well and was never very sick. He’s still testing positive, so that haven’t released him.
Her sister-in-law has been in critical condition, and is finally making some improvements after being put on anti-viral medications.
They are in their late 60s or early 70s and are Caucasian.

#BREAKING: Air Canada says they received news from health officials on Saturday that a passenger who flew from Montreal to Vancouver on Feb. 14 has since tested positive for COVID-19.
Yeah, Ive been wondering. You hear about recovery but never see interviews with said recovered.
Many reports of survivors having major organ damage after leaving ICU. After being on a ventilator for that long with reduced tidal flow of O2 and high levels of blood CO2, there has to be lingering or permanent side effects.
The lucky ones with no or small symptoms are not discussed scientifically as far as I know - the resources are spent on serious cases.
You are projecting your view of society onto people in an autocratic society that don't speak English.
You need to go look at Chinese media to see videos of people who survived, or people commenting on the disease. But many of those postings are censored.
You can see the comments of a British couple and their family in a series of articles in the Daily Mail. CNN ran an interview with a woman in a hospital in Japan who contracted the disease while on board the cruise ship.
The very sick people aren't in any condition to be making videos. They are in the ICU, hooked up to ventilators, and isolated. You can see the less lucky among them being loaded into vans that will take them to be cremated if you search out Chinese media.
Thanks.
From your link....
....Public health officials first confirmed a Santa Clara man as the county’s first case of the virus on Jan. 31. The unidentified man had traveled to the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Wuhan before returning to the county Jan. 24 by flying into Mineta San Jose International Airport.
The man never required hospitalization while ill with the virus and was isolated at home while Public Health Department staff monitored his condition.

So, where all did this guy go between Jan 24 - Jan 31st????
Also, I feel much better knowing that he ‘self-quarantined’, at home.
Funny...but, we never see them, or hear them tell of their ordeal or symptoms.
Maybe it’s for privacy reasons....they’d be considered a pariah, for at least some time? (Especially, since we’ve heard that the disease can incubate for up to 24+ days?)
