The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

The problem: a COVID-19 outbreak in Iran could be pretty scary given the dense population of Iran’s cities, especially Tehran and Mashad.
Survival of the fittest? While Iran has had strong healthcare in past, I am unsure how it has held up due to sanctions. For the most part Muzzy nations are not well equipped for much anything compared to the west. They reap what they sow. 7th century thinking will lead to their ultimate demise. Maybe this virus is nudge in that direction. Let’s not help them unless they convert to Christianity. That means do nothing.

If this continues to spread, I think the Olympics in Japan will be postponed/canceled.
The only positive I can see from this is a cessation of ongoing terrorism and wars all around the world. Perhaps such a break will cause the opposing sides in such conflicts to rethink the rationale for continuing to sacrifice lives.
