The crash was bad because when he flipped the first time he was upside down and got hit in the driver side door by a car going over 200 MPH. I am amazed that he survived.
Someone said that the the force of the impact was less because it moved the car along..Had it been stationary I am not sure Nascar engineering would have been enough.
I just marvel at the whole thing.
