Steven Spielberg's adopted 23-year-old daughter Mikaela has revealed she is working as a porn star, while opening up about the sexual abuse that she suffered as a child.
In a new interview, the Nashville-based adult film star, who was adopted as a baby by Spielberg, 73, and his wife Kate Capshaw, 66, revealed that she only recently told her parents about her new line of work, but said that they have been very supportive of her career choice.
'My safety has always been a number one priority for them,' she told The Sun, while revealing that she broke the news to them via FaceTime over the weekend. 'I'm doing this, not out of an urge to hurt anybody or be spiteful about it, I'm doing this because I want to honor my body in a way that's lucrative.'
Describing herself as a 'sexual creature', Mikaela went on to explain that she was eager to find a way to 'capitalize on her body', having grown frustrated with working in a more traditional job that 'wasn't satisfying her soul'.
She also shared that her new career has given her a feeling of empowerment and confidence that she never thought she'd be able to have, with the budding stripper revealing that she suffered abuse at the hand of 'predators' as a child, which later sparked a series of mental health issues.

She’s not long for the industry with those looks. Just saying.
Genes are pretty important. If they’re good (i.e. kids are easygoing, well-behaved, intelligent and conscientious), you can get away with almost no parental supervision. If they’re not good, you’d better not be an absentee parent. Because if they’re bad, and you dropped the ball on nurture, you can literally end up having to identify a decomposed, unrecognizable blob in a morgue. I wish the Spielbergs the best. It can’t be easy having a kid they brought up take a wrong turn like this.
She is textbook. An abused girl abuses herself further by being used in porn while thinking she is controlling her abusers.
Spielberg is a horrible person for allowing her to reenact the trauma over and over again.
At least mom carried her to term and did not abort. She’s obviously biracial and messed up as heck in the head.
I also shouldn't be surprised to discover the people who molested her were his Hollywood friends.
Yeah, umm, she's the daughter of a billionaire, she clearly has self-esteem issues, she clearly uses sex (and alcohol) to try to deal with those issues, and she doesn't seem to care much about the quality of men she attracts (fiancee Chuck is actually 50, not 47)... I don't see her being alone for any significant stretch of time until she is in her 60s.

The way this article is worded, it sounds like the Spilebergs had her groomed?
This is a very sad story about a very troubled young woman. All I can do is say a prayer for her, that she turns away from this dark path before she ruins her entire life.
The article also notes that she explicitly stated that the abuse was not by her family or anyone in their close circle.
