Key fundraisers are jumping ship from Joe Biden’s struggling presidential campaign to instead support Mike Bloomberg’s ascending candidacy.

The development comes amid growing concerns within Biden’s affluent donor network that the former vice president is struggling to convince voters that he can defeat Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, for the Democratic nomination. The financiers are also impressed with Bloomberg’s self-funded operation.

Jon Henes, a partner at the law firm Kirkland & Ellis, has signaled to friends that he is shifting his allegiance from Biden’s campaign to Bloomberg’s bid to take on President Donald Trump, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, who declined to be named as these decisions were made in private. Henes is one of close to a dozen other Biden fundraisers who have already decided to move toward Bloomberg

Since Bloomberg is self financing his campaign, what will they be doing for Bloomberg. Soliciting him for donations to his own campaign? 8>)

Part of the issue is Biden spends a lot more than the other candidates.

I guess they don't want to have to work, doomberg doesn't need any fundraisers.

“So what if Bloomberg is a racist, misogynistic, billionaire oligarch who is buying the nomination? He is OUR racist, misogynistic, billionaire oligarch, dammit! Plus he is going to fund all of the other democrat campaigns.”

Biden's biggest problem is that he has to rely on OPM (other people's money) and is running out of OPM to spend. Not even rich liberals want to keep shoveling money into a losing campaign.

Bloomberg can spend unlimited amounts of his own money and never worry about having to suck up to other democrat big money donors. He is the biggest democrat big money donor.

“Wouldn’t the job of a “fund raiser” be trivial when working for a self-funded candidate?”

exactly ... plus there’s a zero return on zero investment ... i.e., there’s no play when there’s no pay ...
