Oh well, when she does come to know, maybe she will sing a different tune about Pres. Trump entirely. She's definitely showing signs that maybe she's not beach friends with Streisand and Cher.
Who knows, perhaps we might even see her play at a Trump rally one day.
I think he is in terrible danger.
The right to disagree without having your head chopped off?...
Interesting way of putting it. It implies she has a clue
I don't expect to see her at any Trump rallies but that's okay. We can agree to disagree on politics with civility. It would be a much better world if we could all do that.
Doesn’t attack Rush or Trump despite having a different political opinion then them? Supports Julian Assange??
The libs are going to put her on a Chain Gang
I like that she’s not afraid to speak from the heart. I get the feeling she really doesn’t care what anyone thinks. I admire that.
2,000 Miles is such a heartbreaking song.
IIRC, apparently her mother was a Rush fan and that persuaded Hynde to continue to allow Rush to use that music for his show.
Maybe she’s “Middle of the Road” afterall.
Why is everyone saying that her mother listened to Rush? I believe the article clearly says it was her father. Am I wrong?
It is just me, or does Chrissy Hynde look like Melania Trump?
OOPS! I Meant to say
“I loved her song, https://youtu.be/FoZKgyM98aM
Ill Stand By You
I dont think much of her (POLITICS) though.”
She’s making a public play to Trump’s ego to get Assange out of trouble. there’s a lot of evidence out there that when celebrities play to his ego, he appears more sympathetic to the point of view they are advocating. Whether it’s sincere or pandering to get a desired outcome doesn’t really matter, that’s exactly what she’s doing.
She can object all she wants, but the blanket license allows anyone to play her songs. She makes money off of each play but cannot discriminate who can play it.
Just ask Mick Jagger about Trump’s use of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
Pay the ASCAP fees and you can use any song. She probably made more money from Rush than she did from the release of the song.
