Everywhere else: 999 cases, 5 deaths, 39 serious/critical
Look...it’s a miracle....8,000 fewer cases!
I expect 27 new cases across all of China in the numbers later today! By the weekend maybe 0-3.
You are counting on an Asian based source. They are not going to double check their US numbers. I would suggest you either use the CDC web site ( they give a daily situation report), or the Johns Hopkins site.
Some advice, look at it coming East to West, not from across the Pacific. This will come to us from Iran/Iraq, India, or Africa. The healthcare systems in those areas are pretty weak and people travel through airports and “s-hole” cities, then they end up here (some in Congress!!)
The other thing to pay attention to are the terms that denote “we don’t know how the hell ‘this person’ got sick.”
When you hear those terms...start to get “concerned.”
Well, when everyone in Wuhan is dead from “cold symptoms” there aren’t going to be new cases. Lol.

I'm ready to start calling for the death of Dr. Fauci, tedros and the entire executive committee of the CDC. They are putting millions of american lives at risk. Respectfully informing you in our communication number 275781/12 date: 1398/11/09 (Friday 31 January 2020), according to the information gathered so far, there are currently 25 confirmed cases of the corona virus in the country which are quarantined and under the observation of the health ministry.
Sadly four (4) people have already lost their lives due to the virus, given it’s extraordinary rate of growth and the novelty of the virus and the absence of information on how to treat the illness. Due to lack of necessities (proper testing equipment) in provincial and sub provincial health centers, it is impossible to estimate the number of people infected at this time.
The ways the virus can grow and spread and cause infections has already been reported to the relevant institutions and ministries. Here is a summary:
1. Stop the import of all products and food items from China
2. Stop accepting any travellers from China (even in transit)
3. Stop public gatherings of any kind (specially in inclosed venues, such as mosques, schools, universities and companies)
Considering the spread of the virus in warm locations, we are currently in correspondence with the ministries of education and higher education in order to prevent the spread of the disease among students and college students.

Smells like a more sophisticated rumor compared to the one about the Chinese Intelligence Agent / MD with people melting, right?
It would not surprise me if that were true. I believe there are more cases in the US than they are letting on.
I sure hope they are testing some of the severe flu cases in the US, because coved19 can co-exist with the flu.
If this is true, think of all the people who have been breathing this stuff.
Mass animal die-off in China due to disinfectants, authorities say
Feb. 19 (UPI) — China is using all available measures to stop the spread of the new strain of coronavirus that has killed more than 2,000 people, but some of the state’s policies are provoking backlash and unintended consequences.
China’s state-owned news agency Xinhua reported Wednesday more than 100 undomesticated animals were found dead in Chongqing, a megacity in southwest China that borders Hubei Province, the epicenter of the outbreak.
The Chongqing Forestry Bureau said the 135 wild animals, representing 17 species, included wild boar, weasels, blackbirds and other bird species.
Following sampling and tests, Chinese authorities said some of the animals appeared to have been poisoned. Disinfectants may have been the cause of the deaths, they said. Authorities also ruled out the possibility the animals died from diseases, including COVID-19, bird flu or Newcastle disease

Local efforts to prevent potential spread of Covid-19 have been like ‘one big, long bad day’

Public-health officials in the U.S. are striving to keep tabs on thousands of Americans who have quarantined themselves at home after returning from mainland China to curtail the new coronavirus, adding to an epidemic response that is straining already-stretched local departments.
More than 5,400 people had been asked to self-quarantine in California alone as of Feb. 14, according to the California Department of Public Health. Hundreds more are self-quarantining in Georgia, Washington state, Illinois, New York and other states.
Public-health officials are following directions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State Department to supervise these people, but many steps are being developed on the fly. States are using a variety of techniques to track people from calling in volunteers to make phone calls, to sending text messages and using electronic registries

I saw a YouTube video the other day where a local doctor (PhD, I think) was saying that there are 6 cases in buffalo and 1500 Chinese citizens at the University of NY at Buffalo (UB) being watched
There are still some eerie videos coming out of Wuhan. So, all these apartments that are boarded up... is anyone at least checking on these people? What about the children?
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A Springfield man is back home on Tuesday after traveling on a cruise ship quarantined for the coronavirus.
Hundreds of passengers are still stranded abroad while Frank King left, claiming he’s free of the virus and any need for quarantine.
King said he never contracted the virus but is definitely feeling the consequences from his time on the ship.
“For the most part the passengers were just rolling with the punches,” King said. “I mean there were some people that felt trapped, depressed, distressed.”
A vacation that turned into a floating hospital.
A two-week Holland-America cruise ship set to travel around Asia, extended long past its original schedule after passengers eventually tested positive for coronavirus.
“They took all our temperatures and everybody passed so nobody had a temperature so our plan, we agreed to flee free and we were sailing to the Philippines and to get turned us away,” King said.
As a comedian working for the cruise, King tells us via Skype how he became the comic relief amid the chaos.
“I had four shows on the ship, some of my best shows ever you know because we’re all in it together,” King said. “I made a few jokes about, it’s not the love boat, it’s the glove boat thank you.”
After five different countries refused to let the ship dock at its ports, passengers finally were able to leave when given the go-ahead in Cambodia.
But King says they were told as one passenger made her way home, she tested positive for the virus.
“And so that stopped everybody from moving, nobody else left the ship. We were stuck in the hotel from which I self deported,” he said.
Some 75 people on ship and 200 in a hotel on land are still waiting to fly home after being cleared by the CDC.
He flew home to Oregon through Seattle.
