NASCAR driver Ryan Newman is awake and speaking with family and doctors, a day after a fiery crash near the finish line of Daytona 500. Newman's racing team, Roush Fenway Racing, offered up the update Tuesday and said it will continue to provide details as they become available. Well, they turn left and right...
FWIW, I think it’s possible that one or more of the helmet anchors could have failed. I’m sure they’ll take a look at all that when they go over the vehicle.
Once you see the face staring straight at the camera...you do wonder what failed..and if he might have snapped his neck.
That said, it may not be his face. Certainly lots of different opinions about what is in that red circle.
It would be interesting to know the design specs for the helmet anchors. If anything failed, my bet is on one or more of those.
Anything is possible. At 200mph the forces are incredible.
Im pretty sure what you are seeing is part of the seat. Do a search on images of NASCAR seats.
I think he had a major crash at Daytona before, IIRC. He was driving for Tony Stewart at the time. Out of touch these days but I think he moved to another team.
Quit NASCAR when everything about them turned green and the Moooooch showed up after her husband runs down we rednecks about clinging to our bibles and guns.
Another great sport, IMO, that has been victimized by the PC Police.
you’re still stirring up trouble to increase your chances on betting on nascar by preying on unknowing and unsuspecting victims aren’t you...
watch out for this one people she’s a self admitted gambler on anything sports related...
For people watching on television, the only real indication of the force propelling these cars is usually when it comes to seeing the time it takes for big metal things to stop moving. (Just look at the time it took for Ryan Newman's car to come to stop sliding on its roof.) (p>
Denny Hamlin is a jerk. Always has been. Have a fellow racer injured and trapped in car and he is at end of pit row doing grass burns.
Speaks loads to the safety features in today's NASCAR vehicles
This has got to be the most ignorant post I have seen in awhile
My god, what possible effect does talking about a wreck have on the next race...that I may not even watch or bet.
You are ridiculous
To be honest i lost a lot of respect for Newman when purposely took another driver out a couple of years ago to make it into the chase.
Hamlin is an ass. Arrogant little schift
To be fair to him , the spotter only said to him in the audio that there was debris all over the place and ryan’s car was upside down.
But there is no doubt whatsoever that his crew saw how bad the car was as it skidded by . I posted a video of them.
This is really on Nascar and how they handled the whole situation. You can see jeff gordon knew it was bad. Nascar knew it was bad.
Get over it.
I told you to stay away from me with your idiotic posts.
You are talking like I am short Nascar futures and am trying to make money this week on it tanking.
Get a f’in grip.
btw, bought some AAPL options near the low this morning. I forget the Fed is tomorrow so will get out of them if I can in the morning without taking a loss.
Hey want to talk AAPL now?
IDIOT
Hamlin knew how bad it was if his crew did. Communication is never off between spotter and crew chief.
it’s the previous threads you started about this wreck...
playing dumb won’t work when everyone can read the history of what you admitted in writing...
