So this is how you knock off the winning driver in the last lap? Basically do a Pitt maneuver on him and then you get to win because with him out of control he causes the field behind you to have accidents?

I think the guy who won was in third at the time of the accident.
They were all racing bumper to bumper.
And if anything, Newman was aggressively blocking the car behind him. Some may be of the opinion that he caused the wreck.

Its a miracle for sure, honestly watching that crash yesterday I was certain he was dead..Thank God he is going to be OK an absolute miracle for sure..prayers sent for a speedy recovery!!

Newman's crash was a fender-bender compared to this epic wreck from the Craftsman Truck series race at Daytona in 2000:

It's hard to believe there weren't at least a dozen fatalities in the stands with that one.
