Who's running? Post #30.
Mon, Feb 17, 2020

Post #30. With so many rats running for president in 2020 it's hard to keep up with who's in and who's out. Hopefully, this post will help. This thread will be posted each week, likely on Monday, with the dropouts from the previous week and newly declared candidates noted.

Below is a list of declared candidates and their occupation. Below that is a list of dropouts, their occupation and the date they dropped from the race.

Dropout(s) in the past week: Andrew Yang, Michael Bennet (who?) and Deval Patrick (who?) dropped out after poor showings in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2020.

Newly declared candidates from last week: Thankfully, none.

Current counts: We're down to 10 declared candidates (9 if you don't include KILLary) and 20 dropouts.

Thanks for a great post.

Hope everyone stocked up on popcorn. The Nevada debates and the Nevada caucus are going to be off the charts insane!

I actually saw Adam Kokesh’s (Libertarian, #36 in fundraising, #36 in spending) bus a few weeks ago....Georgia, I think.

Rocky de la Fuente (Republican) is outraising Bill Weld and Joe Walsh (I think he dropped out) by a long shot.

Historically, at least, no sitting POTUS has ever been defeated for reelection by anyone not a governor or former governor.

Should we be sweating Lincoln Chafee?

Major Ojeda’s campaign for POTUS ran from Nov 2018 to Jan 2019. His campaign was over long before I started this weekly post on Aug 15, 2019.

Since they're all Democrats, I think they're all terrible. If pushed, I'd say, maybe, Gabbard. But she'll never make it through the primaries.

Truth be told, I'm not sweating any of the remaining candidates. I feel none of the remainders have a chance against President Trump.
