That guy was quite simply harrassing her. The airlines didn’t address the issue when asked to....they could have just moved her seat or his. Better kick the guy off!
“The airlines should remove the reclining option if the seats are so crammed together that the reclining passengers are in the laps of the people behind them.”
We fly from TN to FL on Allegiant a few times a year. As far as I know, none of their seats recline. The flights are short, so it’s not a problem.
Tavistock is more likely- but your point is well taken. We don’t have to cooperate, but way too many people will allow themselves to be treated worse than dogs to go on their holiday. Staying at home is my heaven on earth.
Geez with the internet and all your 300,000 miles a year and braggin still waiting for you to show me where I don’t have to fly 14 hours to get home from Paris
What we do know, the seat he had did not recline. The space he had at take off, is not the same when she invaded his space. We know he asked her no not recline, so he could eat. So she knew she was creating a hardship. She didnt care
Exit row and rear cabin seats do not recline. People in these seats have limited room. Most travelers are considerate to others. Most travelers do not fully recline, as it makes the person behind you have limited ability to work on the laptop, enjoy their snack, or simply read

Moving parts in rubbing contact require lubrication to avoid excessive wear. Honorifics and formal politeness provide lubrication where people rub together. Often the very young, the untraveled, the naïve, the unsophisticated deplore these formalities as empty meaningless, or dishonest, and scorn to use them. No matter how pure their motives, they thereby throw sand into machinery that does not work too well at best.

Absolutely. We need to revisit passenger rights... wide enough seats, leg room, big enough bathrooms to use. These are safety and health issues.
