George Washington was an 'illiterate LIAR who cheated his way to the top, wore dentures made from hippo ivory, and beat his slaves', new biography claims

George Washington was a 'liar' who the other Founding Fathers couldn't wait to see the back of, claims a new biography on The Father of his Country. Buying teeth from his slaves at a third of the market price, refusing to free them, and causing conflict that eventually led the the start of 'humanity's first world war' are among the many ethical and moral missteps the country's first president made, claims new book 'You Never Forget Your First: A Biography of George Washington' by historian Alexis Coe. The book was released this Presidents' Day weekend, coinciding with the broadcast of the History Channel's new three-part series 'Washington', on which Coe was also a consulting producer.

"by the time he left office in 1797, most of the other Founding Fathers were done with him"

Well the Officers of the Continental Army were not. They were sufficiently devoted to George Washington to name him first President General of the Society of the Cincinnati on June 19, 1783, in Newburgh, New York, and to reelect him to this office at each General Meeting of the Society until his death in 1799.

The Officers of the Continental Army respected Washington sufficiently to honor him as successor to Cincinnatus.

Furthermore, the American People honored him by naming the Capital of the USA Washington, naming a state for him, and honoring him as the Father of the Country.

Obviously, few people--if any!--were "done with him."

This Coe woman is a CNN toadie. She’s a Doris Kearns Goodwin acolyte.

Goodwin is a Trump-hating, Lincoln-loving apologist, who spreads her bile incrementally on the Fake News apparatus.

Simply more revisionist b.s.

Tour Frances’ Tavern Museum, in NYC.

There, you will see the very room where Washington bid farewell to his Continental Army soldiers.

Another sacred, historical place.

“Hemings was of mix race and was Jefferson’s passed wife half sister. So the only way he could have taken care of her was for her to remain a slave. She was freed by Jefferson’s daughter along with her family after his death.”

Jefferson freed ten slaves, five while alive, five in his will. Eight of the ten were the children or kin of Sally Hemings. When Sally was freed, she went to live with two of her sons, near Charlottesville. They had been freed by Jefferson before his death. In the 1830 census, Sally and her sons are listed as white.
On a side note: The folks that maintain & operate Monticello are restoring the bedroom that Sally Hemings lived in. Her room was close to Jefferson’s bedroom.

Why are Jews so batsh*t liberal and want to tear down American tradition?

Jews are trained from birth to be altruistic and collectivistic. But individual rights, such as the pursuit of one's own happiness in the Declaration of Independence, are egoistic and individualistic.

I found it interesting when I visited that Mount Vernon isn’t part of the government run National Park Service and probably never will be.

a resentful Thomas Jefferson complained in a letter sent that same year to James Madison.

Washington preferred Hamilton's statist advice over Jefferson's limited government advice.

The other Founding Fathers openly acknowledged that only George Washington could unite the country after independence. Yes, there was the typical political intrigue and infighting, but Washington proved that assessment was correct. I am certain this “historian” preferred the French revolution anyways.

She enjoys the freedom to write what she wants, because George Washington and other American patriots put their lives on the line (many losing their life) to win that freedom.

I wonder if she’ll ever write a book like this about Muhammad?

They really dig for dirt on our founding fathers, but don’t seem to have the slightest interest in digging deep on current Rat politicians like Obama,Clinton. Etc.

Not all people in history were as "woke" as all of these arrogant millennials are nowadays.

People in history were people of "their time". In George Washington's case, 200 hundred plus years ago.

They obviously can't be help accountable for what the phony "woke" liberal expectations are today.

But the liberals of today will hold them accountable, nonetheless.

In fairness to Coe, she claims that she never said we had illiterate.

“ I quote George Washington’s letters, cite his favorite authors, and talk about what kind of books he read throughout my book.

This @DailyMailUK article accused me of saying he is illiterate, and that’s just one error among many.”
