High School Girls Sue After Being Forced To Compete Against Transgender Athletes

Three Connecticut high school track runners filed a lawsuit against their athletic conference Wednesday to block born-male athletes from competing against them.

Selina Soule, Alanna Smith, and Chelsea Mitchell argue the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) is accommodating an unfair advantage for transgender athletes by allowing biological males to compete against girls. Connecticut is one of 17 states that currently allows transgender athletes to compete without restriction according to their gender identity, reports the Connecticut Post.

“It is not fair for any boy to compete against girls,” Smith told the Connecticut Post. “That biological unfairness doesn’t go away because of what someone believes about gender identity. All girls deserve a chance to compete on a level playing field.”

The girls first got involved in February 2019 when athletes Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood, both born male, took first and second at the state open indoor track championships.

Soule says the athletes prevented her from making it further into the tournament. (RELATED: Here’s Everything The NYT Left Out Of Its Story On Transgender Athletes)

“When I was in the indoor season I was in the 8th place of the state open and only the top six qualify for the New England regional meet– because there were two transgender athletes that put me into 8th place, if they weren’t there I would have been in 6th and I would have made it into the finals and I would have qualified for the New England meet — instead of watching my own event from the sidelines,” Soule told the Daily Caller at the time.

The Alliance Defending Freedom is representing the three girls in their lawsuit, with attorney Christiana Holcomb saying that the two transgender athletes have won 15 championships since 2017 that were previously held by nine separate girls. The lawsuit argues those 15 wins cost the girls 85 opportunities to compete between 2017 and 2019, according to the Connecticut Post.

I’ll bet these girls supported the feminist position that women are equal to men before all this started.

Start a transgender category and don’t let it be arbitrary which category they can chose to compete in. No category shopping.

Is this an “unintended consequence” of the desire of many elements in society, wanting to prove that they are liberal towards these “transsexual” people?

In this case, to prove that they are liberal, they allowed biological males to compete against biological females in sports, because otherwise, they would have been said to be bigoted against the “transgender” people, and bigoted against “LGBT” overall as well.

I’ve heard that many states, not just Connecticut, allow so called “trans” students, to compete according to their so called gender identity, as opposed to their biological sex.

I hope any young woman who is tempted to go “woke” takes a lesson from this nonsense. In the liberal hierarchy of grievances, women are at the bottom just above straight white men. They don’t want to compete against trangenders? Too bad. Take one for the cause.

Why is it you never hear about “transgender” males competing against the males?

This crap is going to be on display at this years Olympics. The media will be falling over themselves to tell us what a great thing this is. Seeing democratic polices on display will only help Trumps re-election hopes.

Sort of ironic that the feminists who wanted to be treated like men, are now being shut down by a group of men who wanted to be treated like women.

Losing championships is not really important but losing SCHOLARSHIPS is!

You could potentially cost a young lady her opportunity to attend college.

Remember when we knew better?

I bet they did not think men and women possess equal strength. That being said, women are equal to men in the eyes of God and under the law. While young men tend to do better in the “objective” skills young women tend to do better on the “subjective” skills in academic performance, there women who are outstanding mathematics, the sciences, etc., just as smart and learned as the most talented men, and there are men whose intuitive and verbal abilities match those of the most able women. Personally, I have noted, now that I am in my senior years, as women age their “objective” skills improve, and men’s “subjective” skills improve, and intelligence seems to becomes more global. I actually think there are some studies which bear this impression out.

In general, men are better at some things, women at others, which is the way God intended things to be and is good for the human race. HOWEVER, intelligence and talents are all relative.

In my youth, when taking the ACT and SAT for college entrance, I scored extremely well in the hard sciences and math, as well or better than the “smartest” boys in my class, who incidentally did not have to answer as many questions correctly as I did to get the same score. The reason being, my smug male friend, back in the day, females had to answer a higher percentage of questions correctly to get the same score as males so get over yourself that you are superior in brain power.

You just possess more physical strength/

I found it ironic that they insist on a “level playing field” when by definition any competition segregated by sex is not “level.”

That said, I’m a firm believer that girls should compete against girls and men against men.

It’s little credit to a man to defeat a woman.
