For the past six months, the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force has been investigating a group suspected of robbing street-level dealers while also selling drugs, including fentanyl. The FBI task force includes agents/members from the APD, Bernalillo County Sheriffs Office and New Mexico State Police.
Indeed ABQ can be a violent place, mainly along Central Avenue east of the University of NM (homeless people, petty thieves), in an area of SE ABQ known as the "International Zone" (formerly known as the War Zone"), and in areas of the South Valley southwest ABQ. You aren't likely to be attacked by gangs of 'utes like in the big cities of Chicago, Philadelphia, St. Louis, etc. but best not to be there after dark. Lots of the crime is drug related as stated in the article but other crime is domestic violence by people crazy on drugs, drunk or pissed off by an ex-girlfriend, etc.

Lots of the crime is drug relatedThe primary effect of the War on Drugs is to give criminals additional means and motive for violence.

Some guy names Stone was Swatted, bankrupted and possible nine years and all he did was jokingly speak ill of a doggie and got tripped up by “investigators” lying to the government. This guy should get the electric chair in comparison

Breaking Bad takes place there! I’ve only been to Tuscon, Arizona, and it seemed like a dangerous enough place. I was only there for a couple of days.
