Well... well... well... lookie here: In the Dec. 30, 1991 - Jan. 6, 1992 edition of JET Magazine, an article on page 8 describes in detail how Donald Trump gave a man named Lawrence Herbert, who is black, a check for an undisclosed amount (he was facing foreclosure) as well as a job offer since Mr. Herbert helped his mother, Mary Trump, after an attempted robbery. Mr. Herbert thanked Mr. Trump for his generosity and was able to keep his home. You'll never hear about these acts of kindness from Trump towards others in the mainstream media! #BlackHistoryMonth

Cant access but I remember the story well. It happened on Union Tpke in queens. She was going to a grocery store and he tried to take her purse. The purse contained 14 bucks. He beat her and broke her ribs. The assailant was 16, white and the son of a long island railroad executive.

A guy passing in his car found the kid and brought him back. Trump was out of town and informed by Mayor Dinkins. It was a nice area near her home in Jamaica Estates.

I wonder what happened to the 16-Year-Old criminal who almost killed Trump's mother.
She was 79 when attacked. Broken ribs, brain hemorrhage, facial bruises, several fractures, permanent damage to sight and hearing. Died 9 years later. According to twitter writer.
