The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded by the president of the United States “for especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors”.

The honor has been bestowed on people with achievements in:

1 Arts
1.1 Architecture
1.2 Art
1.3 Dance
1.4 Film & theater
1.5 Literature
1.6 Music
1.7 Photography

2 Business and economics
3 Computing
4 Education
5 History
6 Humanitarian
7 Law
7.1 Attorneys and judges
7.2 Supreme Court justices
8 Media
8.1 Journalism
8.2 Radio
8.3 Television
9 Medicine
10 Military
11 Philanthropy
12 Philosophy
13 Politics and government
13.1 Activism
13.2 Diplomacy
13.3 Environmentalism
13.4 Intelligence
13.5 Foreign statesmen and stateswomen
13.6 U.S. Cabinet members
13.7 U.S. first ladies
13.8 Members of the U.S. Congress
13.9 Presidents of the United States
13.10 Vice Presidents of the United States
13.11 Other political figures
14 Religion
15 Science
16 Space exploration
17 Sports

In my view many of the past awards have been made on politically biased motives championing individuals that fit the President’s perspective while not representing any sort of “majority” choice the American people would make. In that way the award has been diminished by moral relativism, from what ought to be a more common accepted good. Yet, then again a “common good” has been less and less found among Americans - increasingly so over the last 60 years.

Sixty years ago was when the Marxists attempts to dominate American academia, politics and culture began its greatest and most successful push, hiding in plane sight among “normal” groups in each area. Since then the divisions among the American people have grown as more sheeple became indoctrinated and accepting of the Left’s memes, and OUR resistance has grown stronger as well. Two peoples with two opposing views of everything has evolved from that battle.

Look at the entire list of recipients. Streisand, Costy. By dem standards, Bozo the Clown would have received one had it existed in his time.

I think that Chris stated that the NAACP recreated Claudette’s actions so they could make a stronger case using a more-seasoned Rosa Parks.
