I rode on a 747 to and from the middle east. I liked that plane ride.

Our battalion went to Gulf War I in 747s and during Gulf War II my unit deployed on a C-5. I guess it was no different than when the boys took luxury ocean liners to Europe in WWII.

The piano bar USED to be very enjoyable. It was like an actual bar! I had the pleasure of flying a United 747 from Chicago to Denver (the Air Force made me) in Oct 1970 4 months after their inaugural flight. I was a mile "high" before we landed!😎

I rode on a 747 from New York to Dallas when American Airlines had the piano bar in the rear lounge. God, it was fun! 1973, I think.

Rode my first 747 from Chicago to Anchorage, then on to Tokyo. That was in October 1976. What a wonderful trip. The coolest thing of all is that the flight must have been a back-haul and they needed the plane in Tokyo, because it was 95% empty! I think every paying passenger had a dedicated stewardess as well as an entire row to stretch out in. Only time that has happened and I’ll never forget it!
