On this day, February 9, 2020, I propose to all members of Free Republic that Mitt Romney be declared Persona Non Grata and his name permanently banished from the halls of Free Republic.
It is wise to be informed of the enemy’s activities, so Romney needs to be covered like any other miscreant.

No. Not going down the road of censorship. Also, I am a great believer in the idea that even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I will not rule out the possibility that somewhere in the fullness of time Romney will get something right, even if inadvertently, and I want to leave the door open for that. It just seems totalitarian to shut down a subject from discussion. It’s what leftists do when they are angry.
Just create safe-space threads where people who don’t want to hear about Romney can go and give each other comfort strokes and digital hot chocolate?

However, you start keeping what he does/says from being spoken out in the open and you start wearing a blind-fold.
I’m not okay with that. I’m too deaf to start listening when the stuff starts swinging so I need to see/hear it from reliable sources else I won’t know.
