On this day, February 9, 2020, I propose to all members of Free Republic that Mitt Romney be declared Persona Non Grata and his name permanently banished from the halls of Free Republic.
Am I allowed to refer to Pierre Delecto from time to time?

I vote no. The cartoons, jpgs, and gifs are just too good.
If you promote suppression of speech and censorship, you do not really believe in a free republic. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are critical for personal liberty. Suppression of speech goes hand in hand with tyranny, as we see on college campuses today.

A lot of people come here to be informed. I think they should hear what’s wrong with him.
As angry as I am about Romney, there is nothing to be gained here. He is a Republican, and we have a small majority - But we must have a majority if we want Trump’s judges confirmed. The next election will be a challenge to keep that majority, and we gain nothing purging him from the party other than making that challenge much more difficult.
What would Romney say about this?
