They will soon begin campaigning on “Democrats are the only ones to keep the economic bubble from bursting. It’s coming...soon. It will be an economic Armageddon!”
“Armageddon” instead of “biblical” for obvious reasons.
Well said!

SO2 is considered a “Criteria Pollutant” in the US (thanks, Nixon!) and is an active molecule in creating “smog”.
Now you know why China “gave the finger” to the Paris Accord. They wanted the ability to burn their people at will.

Chubby cheerleaders? That does not compute!
Sounds good. I have some parakeets I’d like to scare, but not harm.
Don’t you be dissin my high-school BBBs, craka.
re SO2

So are the images depicting just regular smog or crematoriums burning?
Do you have control images?
Possibility is the father of invention.
>>They will soon begin campaigning on Democrats are the only ones to keep the economic bubble from bursting.
I truly fear you’re prophetic.
Historical photos of Hong Kong and Shanghai tell the story. A continuous brown haze. Historical of LA and Denver, also. IN sum, the images show an increase in SO2, but not the extent of that increase. The source of those images would have context from the recent past.
Slide (because I am currently calculating emissions for my employer)...
SO2 is not the only ingredient. Combustion products are regulated by the CAA. Volatile Organics (VOC), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Sulfur Oxides (SOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Particulates (PM) and Ozone (O3) contribute.
O3 is not regulated because it occurs naturally without oxidation (burning). A miniscule amount can be created anthropogenically but it ranges in the PPBT area.
Here is the crux of the industry’s beef with Greenhouse Gas (GHG) regulation: (1) it does not advance the intent of the CAA (smog, combustion products) but targets CO2 and CO2e (Methane, SF6, etc.) of ANY source Nat-gas well maintenance and flatulence are large Methane additives. CO2 is released from respiration of all creatures as well as temperature liberation from oceans and seas.
(2) The regulation of GHG was NEVER Legislated but promulgated by the EPA...with NO MANDATE directly from Congress or the people. At the time of promulgation, there was no confirmed scientific reason to regulate (that would come later from EPA $$$upported research).

>>So why are so many unnecessary things invented?
Because inventing things is intrinsic to our nature. Is anything more exciting than imagining how to improve something? One of my grandfathers invented a prospecting stove.

So why are so many unnecessary things invented.?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because of misdirected intelligence. And not just unncecessary; downright destructive and dangerous things are invented.
I so love that man. I hurt for what he’s going through, and for what we’ll all go thru if we lose him. May Right To Try be his saving.
