Now that its endemic in other areas I think (fear) were about to see just how bad things really are. At least inasmuch as their governments will allow
Ya, I saw that one.
Scary.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
Interesting- I’d like to know what numbers looked like in September, October etc.
But! What tests are they using? Are there different tests here in the U.S. than China?
A lot of use of the word "authorities" in these stories. Everyone is putting a whole lot of trust in nameless/faceless people. And what exactly are they an "authority" on with this incomprehensible virus?!
I thought so.
The people are screwed either way. But hauling healthy and sick together into ‘quarantine’ is a disaster for them.
Even if they start all the industry/production up, say, first week of March (pipe dream, that won’t happen) how many important people are simply dead by then and can’t do that job?
Coffee filters are also good for filtering water. So are paper towels and cloth.
When St Helens blew there was a shortage of car air and oil filters but there didn’t seem to be a problem with the face filters. My daughter was 4 months old and the filter she wore covered her whole face.

Hmmmm...fires...or, pyres.
From the same time, using the same scale - notice that the emissions are heightened across the board. Only other city that comes near to it is Chongquing, which is also afflicted by the #coronavirus. pic.twitter.com/B6wRYsnPwb— INTELWAVE (@inteldotwav) February 8, 2020

Comment @ you tube:
“I’m not saying it’s body burning, could be a not a faulty filter at powerplant. Nevertheless those hotspots are among top 5 highest in the world.”
Thanks, Black Agnes.
Good info on that link.
Thanks for posting!
One of the comments said we knew about Chernobyl by the radiation that appeared in Western Europe.
I have a question for anyone who might know the answer(s):
How reliable was the Chinese gov’t reporting during the SARS outbreak?
Not.
A search on ‘cytokine storm ketosis’ on startpage has some good info.
Ketosis might shut down the cytokine storm or attenuate it a great deal.
If you don’t need to lose weight, just eat a bunch of calories with keto and you’ll maintain.

“So someone can open a window half a click away and I can contract #coronavirus. That’s basically what these experts in China are saying.”
