Hackers attacked two of Facebook’s official Twitter accounts Friday night.
The official Twitter account @Facebook and that of its messaging app, @Messenger, posted identical messages shortly before 7 p.m. Friday evening saying, “Hi, we are O u r M i n e. Well, even Facebook is hackable but at least their security better than Twitter.”
A Twitter spokesperson confirmed to The Hill the two accounts were hacked, saying they were attacked “through a third-party platform.”
“As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised accounts and are working closely with our partners at Facebook to restore them,” the spokesperson said.
The messages were ultimately removed from Twitter.

And so (for just a little while) Fakebook was run better.
I can relate. Just the other day some POS got into 3 of my social media / streaming accounts. Fortunately all three have algorithms in place that recognized the unusual logins/activity and locked them down. (props to Hulu, impressive) I went through all my online accounts and changed all passwords as a matter of principle. Pain in the backside.
It’s a toss up between - I am interested in hearing first hand what they have to say vs the irritation I get from the stress of their banter.
Because I just can’t stand them, I won’t watch it.
