House Democrats used their majority Friday to advance the most controversial gun control bill this General Assembly session, a ban on the sale of assault weapons and the possession of "high capacity" magazines of 12 or more rounds.
The House Public Safety Committee backed House Bill 961 on a 12-9 party-line vote, sending it to the floor of the House of Delegates. The bill would, among other things, require Virginians to turn over or destroy ammunition magazines considered to be “high capacity” and allow the possession of centerfire assault rifles but prohibit the transfer of sale of them in most situations.

They did the exact same thing here in Colorado in 2013. We outnumbered the gun haters over a hundred to one in the committee rooms when we testified , and the rats ignored us and passed their crap anyway.

What happens when mass civil disobedience occurs? Which side will they take? It seems we are getting closer to the answer to those questions.
When you have a 1 vote lead on one ‘aisle’ and a 3 vote lead on the other, it may not be such a good idea to let the ‘other’ guy run 30 some UNOPPOSED races add in the # of voters that didn’t show up for whatever good or bad reason, assemble 10-20000 people to show the LIBs you mean business so the LIBs just in your face you and everything they want is passed by the ENTIRE BLOCK voting for it -..

All I can figure is they really don’t care about holding a job that only pays 17 thous or so a year.
A practiced weapon’s person can drop, slap, and chamber in less than 3 seconds. Less time than it takes most to aim.
Oh I forgot - Virginia wants to ban practice also.

Hmmm let me see. Work for a job that pays $40-$60k and face crowds that out gun you 300 to one, or step asside and say “Oh. You boys want to take your illegal weapons into the Senate to see how many libs will take them? Let me unlock the door!”

Jesus, VA must really be rotted. Even in illannoy there are enough downstate democrats who wouldn’t vote for this crap..yet,,,so far..I don’t think so...I hope.

The dems just took over. It will be almost 2 years before another election for the general assembly. Maybe next time The Republican party won’t let the dems run unopposed in over 30 races.
