A man was caught on camera Sunday night stealing a Kobe Bryant jersey
A man was caught on camera Sunday night stealing a Kobe Bryant jersey off Maria Aguirre’s front porch in Soledad.
Aguirre decided to hang the jersey on her front porch to honor the NBA legend after his passing last month, but she forgot to bring it back inside at the end of the day.
“When we checked our cameras around 3:30 in the morning, we’d seen that somebody had actually come up to our patio, took the shirt, and ran off,” said Aguirre.
The jersey belongs to her 13-year-old grandson, Fabian Sanchez. The teen said he was disappointed to learn that his shirt had been taken.
“It felt like disrespect to me because I got it from my dad and I usually don’t see him,” explained Sanchez.
Aguirre said she felt guilty for leaving the shirt outside, so she posted the video on Facebook. That’s when a good Samaritan reached out, telling her he had ordered a brand-new Kobe Bryant jersey for her grandson and that it should arrive within the next week.
Both Aguirre and Sanchez are thankful for the man’s kind generosity.
They should have known better than to put that shirt on open display.

Could be worse. Could have been the 13 year old stolen off the porch.
Meh. Worth slightly less than a Megan Rapinoe jersey.
Both kneelers and Trump haters, hadn’t heard Rapinoe assaulted anyone.
