Scotland Yard officers guarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's have said they are treated 'like skivvies' and forced to do 'menial tasks' like picking up takeaways and groceries, it has been claimed.
Highly-trained protection staff have also allegedly been seen buying food from an organic delicatessen, a favourite of Meghan's, and picking up coffees from fast food outlet Tim Hortons.
A team of 15 guards has been flown to guard the couple and their nine-month-old son Archie at their secluded Canadian bolthole, after they stood back from royal duties.
The Duke and Duchess's security is estimated to cost taxpayers in Canada and the UK between £3million and £6million a year, as staff work round the clock two weeks at a time.

There’s a reason Meghan’s staff in Britain was turned over time and again and again. Looks like she’s doing likewise with her security.
Oh, c’mon! I guess they want to draw £100,000 a year for just standing around doing nothing but trying to look inconspicuous for 50 years. Now, I’d draw the line at common housework, but go pick up Meghan a sandwich once in a while, wouldya?, sheesh.
Sort of like that time Hillary Clinton told the Marines in her White House honor guard to serve hors d’oerves.
So a skivvy probably had to launder the skivvies.
Richard Nixon also gave up his Secret Service protection late in his wife. One time while I was watching a New York Giants game the camera was on Nixon briefly during the game. He was sitting in the stands wearing a top coat and no hat. I also heard that he went to New York Yankee games and sat in the stands with all of the other fans.
Hillary gave her lessons!!
In the UK...it’s like a servant...though usually female.
Well that fits since those two are now at the bottom of the royal pecking order.
Poor little snowflakes
maybe they should find a nice little safe place to recover with play dough a teddy bear.
I suspect that’s Megans doing. Harry flew a helicopter in the military.
I bet the ashtrays are flying.
I can’t get mine to do a darn thing. Lay-abouts the lot
Ah, soiled no doubt.
Exactly LOL. They are SUBJECTS. We are citizens..
“You think our Secret Service is any different?”
Good point. Probably not.
I assume the reason is for security. The agent goes to get a candy bar, for example, due to what I’ll call chain of possession. They can know it’s not tainted or poisoned. If a gopher went I bet an agent would have to accompany the gopher.
Soon maybe the British public will realize they dont need any royalties and quit paying.
The occurrence requires that the servant cannotavoid the deliberate insult when one's duty and/or economic status will not allow the servant to escape, as it exists for the pledged Scotland Yard agent's commitment to the honor of the institute and the task of protecting, despite the insulting behavior of person(s) being shielded. Very typical of H. Rodham Clinton, in her case, the vulnerability of someone needing to keep position in her power structure, or when one is a permanent and dedicatedfixture in the Secret Service.
IIRC, Dubya never acted this way, but was very considerate--a family trait.
I was right at one of the doors while waiting for the doors to open...only a few feet from one of the Secret Service agents.I caught his eye and asked him if the stories about ILLary mistreating agents were true. He didn't say a word...didn't nod,or shake, his head to indicate "yes" or "no"...but he answered with a huge smile as if to say "you bet your sweet a$$ they're true".
I'll never forget it.
