My wife wanted to watch the halftime show. So I had to watch a display of suggestive sexual acts and a thumb in the eye of American traditions. I’m no prude but it was pretty vulgar. Although I’ve made a vow to not watch the NFL I did watch the last 2 minutes. It was good. I have to admit.

I missed it all. Actually I didn't miss it at all. I went to see
Created Equal and then capped it of with a YouTube viewing/rerun of John Doggett's destruction of Howard Metzenbaum on the last day of the Thomas confirmation hearings. (I'd forgotten about the ORU Dean. He was great too.)

Yes, I thought it was basically pure trash. Crotches, poll dancing, butt wiggles, I guess that’s the best they say that Latinos can do.... oh well, whatever. I’d love to see Toby Keith do a half time show and sing his signature song! Put a boot up their a$$, it’s the AMERICAN way.

It reminded me of “aerobic dance” class in the early 1980s and the Jane Fonda Workout Video, only with lots of butt.
I was also reminded of interviews I’ve seen with women Peace Corps volunteers and missionaries: they say that men in Africa and Asia think all Western women are prostitutes because of American-produced porn videos. In the same way, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are selling an image of Latin American women as sluts, and CardiB and Beyonce sell African American women in the same way.
A decent woman has a lot of evil stereotyping to overcome before she even says Hello.

The misses hit the rack early and I had the TV remote and started flipping through the channels and there was JLo spinning on a stripper pole all fancy crazy. I laughed out loud and the wife yelled out "whats so funny?!" I told her "the Half Time Show,It's the usual A$$fest!"
