.Lo got political during her Super Bowl half time show which featured Latino children in cages who then broke into a rendition of 'Born in the USA' in what appeared to be a swipe at Donald Trump's immigration policies. Both Shakira and J.Lo put their Latina heritage front and center of the show, with the former - who was born in Colombia - taking to the stage shouting 'hola Miami!' before bringing out rapper Bad Bunny who sung in Spanish. But it was J.Lo who made the bigger statement during the latter part of her performance, when the lights rose on children including her own 11-year-old daughter Emme sat in cages - which appeared to reference Trump's hardline immigration policy that has seen children detained after attempting to cross the southern border illegally. Emme began by singing part of her song Let's Get Loud before J.Lo appeared in a giant American flag coat, which had the Puerto Rican flag on the other side.

I purposely skipped it too
Fast Forward is your friend
I saw it. I guess Im slow since only reading this do I see that it was a political statement. It looked more like a bunch of tramps Pole dancing in a strip club to me.
Sickening!
I have met celebrities. Many of them surprised me, as they were decent, kind, even humble.
Many years ago Jennifer Lopez did a USO show, and I had to work logistics and coordination at the base. She was a friggin nightmare. Perhaps the worst celebrity I have ever met.
She sent us a rider that not even the Ritz-Carlton could have fulfilled. She demanded everything be white in color: her room, her flowers (orchids, I recall), only white limos and vans, etc. As a military base, we could not fulfill her every wish, and she reacted like a spoiled child. She was vain, two-faced, and inconsiderate.
During halftime, I was catching up here on FreeRepublic. My wife was shopping for my daughter’s wedding. My oldest son was doing his laundry. My youngest was looking up some obscure video game trivia thing that none of us would understand.
We know what halftime shows have become.
I watched it with conservative family and friends. Try that, sometime.
It was a hoot. We had lots of fun ridiculing and commenting. It was like an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
And yes, it was awful. J-Lo is a pompous ho. We all said so. Not many of us males were even titillated.
You mean Toby the Obama lover? F him too.
J-Lo’s house has a big freaking wall around it.
Maybe Latin America needs a wall to keep American culture out.
But seriously, decent people of all races and ethnicities should be on the same side.
Same for the bumper music to one of the talk jocks out there. The bumper is "Independence Day" by Martina McBride. Not a good song at all. About a wife killing herself to get away from an abusive husband.
I watched the first half and the last quarter...I never watch half time...
I am more a college football fan and would rather hear a marching band than watch the porn shows at pro half time shows...
BTW, Chiefs punter, Dustin Colquitt is nephew to two of my old high school teammates...His dad, Craig is 5 years younger than me, but I remember him always being in the way when I was with his older brothers...LOL
Stopped following the NFL when they allowed Colon to keep kneeling. Only time I’ve watched since is when the Patriots make the playoffs. Didn’t watch it last night, didn’t miss a thing of importance.
Funny, “rightist” people said the same thing about observations regarding being a nude model, back in 2016.
You’re married to a man?
They should have run a venereal disease awareness commercial after it.
My sons and I always stand for the National Anthem. And then we may critique how much (or little) they mangled it.
Demi got a 5 out of 10. One or two more “interpretations” and she would have been banned from my house. FWIW.
The National Anthem is the National Anthem, and I will stand for it.
J LO definitely has lightened her skin and her face looked thinner and had a skeleton look.
Woops! I meant LatinA.
I thought so ... just couldn’t resist.
J Low and Shockira. Ive heard about some shows in Tijuana that are just as good as the half-time show.
