I don't think it will be a witness. It will be procedural.

Dims will demand a delay in the Wednesday vote in order to allow time for "investigation".

This delaying tactic will not work but will become their cause to say the whole acquittal is unconstitutional.

In short, they are setting up for a redo through the courts.
