Another thing I have seen is they make everyone sit on the ground, so they can tower over the ‘suspects’ and inflate the intimidation.

Or maybe it's just harder to get up and run from a sitting position. If they're standing, they stand a better chance of bolting from the cops.

I will say that most cops are OK. The last few times I have been pulled over for speeding, I immediately put on my turn signal, pull over as soon as possible.

I roll down the window and place my hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel. All resulted in a warning. One in Kansas did say I was going 5 mph faster than I actually was but was nice otherwise.

They were grasping at straws to excuse the officers actions and the med bracelet is all they could muster. When the problem is that everyone is considered a “suspect” and NEVER given any benefit of the doubt as innocent until proven guilty. The universal sentiment that everyone is guilty and these ill conceived protocols “just in case” lead directly to all these outrageous violations of rights and unnecessary loss of life. If they fear the public so much that they would violate rights so easily and often because they are afraid, then they have chosen the wrong line of work. They swore an oath to protect rights, and they are not.

If they had given the rational benefit of the doubt that it could be a medical problem rather than first and always considering everyone a criminal, this would not have happened.

Truly asinine statement if one has any grasp of the facts involved.

So in your opinion, arrest is justified for having a seizure, and/or having autism?

Possibly but unlikely. It depends upon what the body cams show.

Those body cams probably lost power at the worst possible time.

Having a seizure is having BS thrown at them?

Don’t they have some sort of medical information on them, like a necklace or what ever it’s called.?

Some probably were. But not all. At least, it didn't seem that way to me.

I have had my own constitutional rights unjustly violated far too many times now. It makes me sick that it has now become normal standard operating procedure without any discretion.

Not everyone does or needs one. I have myoclonic seizures, no bracelet or necklace needed. Doesn't prevent me from doing anything, except sleeping well.

I absolutely hate it when a cop tells me I was going 105 mph when I KNOW I was only going 100 mph.

Same characters in every “cop was wrong” thread doing the same thing. Earlier thread sentiments have extended into this new one.

The first thing that cop said was “nice pickup”. Then he told me I was going 64 but he was not going to ticket me. He then asked where I was going and I told him that I was going home from a group meeting in Wichita as a Federal LEO.

It was late at night and I think he was bored and just wanted to check me out.

Damn cops beat the ambulance too? Fer schnizel!

I think cops need education and discipline. Lots of discipline not just nods, winks and backslapping.

It’s Fresno, California... think bankrupt Stockton’s Southerly sister city, not quite as upscale as Modesto or Madeira.

(If you know anything about the San Joaquin Valley, you’ll know I’m totally joking when I say upscale.)
