Candidly, I started out with the assumption that everybody inside The Beltway was Not To Be Trusted until they very conclusively demonstrated themselves to be otherwise. (Bad habit I’ve carried over from ‘Nam.)

I don’t think that’s a bad habit. I would call it a smart habit. I agree that the verdict is TBD on Bolton.
However, I’ve personally never cared for the man from what I’ve seen over the years on TV—his appearances.
